Reflection on wiki experience and Group Discussions.

Its EIR again can’t believe time flies. Well this time in the class we were to start on our Group Discussion. The teacher went through the Necessary Guidelines before staring our discussion. Our Class was assigned the Google Being Investigated article. We quickly Form our own Groups and somehow my groups decided to appoint me as their leader. My group was assigned the opinion of our Group about Google being investigated?" and "What is the opinion of the other groups about Google being investigated".

Being a leader I assigned my Group mates to read the article first. After Reading the Article I ask my group mates on their opinions of the Article. Listening from what they have to say allows me to see their different views. Working with them makes the Group discussion more effective as two brains are better than one.

After Collating My group discussion opinions. My groups need to gather information on the other group’s opinion on the topic. In order for me to that I ask one of my group member to follow me to Group 1 so that both of us can get hear the different perspective and ideas of Group 1.  When we return to our seats we will share the Opinions with the other members. Then I will choose a different Member to follow me to Group 2. the process continues until all the Groups have been interviewed. This process allows my group members and me to interact with my other classmates since we don’t talk to them much during the class, this was the best opportunity to get to know them and Find out about their different opinions.

After getting all the required information, we summarised our opinions and the group opinions.  Since I am the leader I volunteered to post all our research and findings in the wiki.

This Group Discussion Should be incorporated in Future EIR classes as it allows the EIR students to interact with the other classmates during class. This would benefit them as it would allow them to work as a group and hear the different opinions of people.
